Connecting nest doorbell to Amazon Alexa

I have the nest doorbell (battery) and am trying to connect it to the Amazon Alexa echo. It is not working I keep getting an error message

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I see you’re having trouble setting up your Nest Camera with the Alexa app, and that it keeps giving you an error message. I’m here to help.

To better assist you, please answer the following questions:

  • What type of Nest Camera do you have? (Here is a helpful article to identify the model of Nest Camera).
  • Did you have a Google account linked to the Nest Camera and connected to the Google Home app?
  • Do you have the same Google account linked to both the Google Home app and the Alexa app?
  • Have you reconnected your Alexa skill to your Google Nest account?
  • What is the make and model of your phone?
  • Are both the Alexa app and the Google Home app up-to-date?
