My doorbell sends me a notification but I can only access the camera history for a couple hours but no further.

Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to hop in here to help. I'm so sorry for the passing of your husband, and I know that app issues can be confusing, but I'm happy to provide some clarity.
 
Would you mind letting me know if you're having issues with logging into the Nest app? If so, you can try reviewing this article as it may help. 
Also, do you happen to know what subscription for your doorbell you may have?
