Determining Total Monthly with Nest Aware

Newbie
Community Member

Trying to find out what new total monthly will be if I upgrade to Nest Aware. I want to upgrade to the 24/7 camera coverage for my 5 cameras.  So I assume that would be $60/month (I want to pay monthly, not annually).

Problem is the subscription explanation on the website states the price is $12/month for "every device in your home, including cameras, speakers, displays, etc."  I don't want to be charged for something I don't even know I have in my house....like some other Google product that I might have?

When I attempted to sign up for the $12/month, the subscription website would not show me what the new "TOTAL" monthly would be. It just shows $12/month for "EVERY" device in my home???  How confusing is that?

That’s your total per month, $12.00. You’ll pay $144/year doing the monthly payments. This cost will cover all your Nest cameras, Doorbells, Speakers and Displays.

With your five cameras, it’ll cost $12/mth or $144/year. If you did annual payment, it would $120 upfront instead of the $144 over 12 monthly payments.

It’s not $12/mth per device. It‘s $12/mth for all supported devices together.

Hi there,

Back in late 2019 Google announced it was changing the Nest Aware subscriptions.

The price is now for as many devices as you have linked with the account you subscribe with.

Have a look at the blog post linked below.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
