Digital Privacy Screens

Iano23

I currently have 3 Nest cameras setup as security cameras on my house, and, as I have neighbours either side of me and due to the available angles I can move the camera on their magnetic base, the cameras do catch slight parts of their rear garden, however don't look directly into the garden.

I've configured zones to make sure that movement in their garden isn't detected and starts the recording, however I have used CCTV systems in the past where it is possible to place digital privacy screens (effectively a grey box on the screen) over the parts of the cameras view you don't want to be able to see at all.

Given that the camera software already allows for zones to be drawn, it feels like it's not a massive jump to allow these zones to be blanked out completely so that even if motion is detected in a zone and the camera does start recording, it effectively misses out the part that has the privacy screen over it, thus I never need to worry about seeing or recording any of my neighbours property at all.

I'm not sure how, or if, there's any way of getting suggestions to the dev team, or if this has been ruled out as not possible, or has been a previous feature long since removed?
