Disabling camera offline notifications

neilgd72
Community Member

I have a slightly flakey wifi connection near one of my cameras.

For some reason, I have started to receive loads of offline push notifications on my iPhone.

Is there any way of disabling these notifications? I don't really care if that particular camera is offline or not.

Hi folks,

@ashdoll32 and @UncleBraaad, thanks for posting here in the Community forum, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. I want to check if you are still in need of any help. Please let us know if you still have questions or concerns, as we'll be willing to assist you more.

@neilgd72, yes, you can disable the offline notifications for your Nest Camera if you don't want to receive them. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Open the Nest app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on the camera for which you want to disable the offline notifications.
  3. Tap on the settings gear icon in the top right corner of the camera's live view.
  4. Scroll down and tap on "Notification settings."
  5. In the Notification settings, you should see an option for "Offline notifications" or something similar. Toggle this option off to disable the offline notifications for that camera.
  6. Repeat these steps for any other cameras for which you want to disable the offline notifications.

By following these steps, you will no longer receive push notifications specifically for the offline status of the selected camera(s). Please note that this will not affect other types of notifications, such as motion or sound alerts, for those cameras. If you ever wish to re-enable the offline notifications in the future, you can follow the same steps and toggle the "Offline notifications" option back on.

I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, please let me know!

Best,

Zoe

Also having the same issue and I'm not sure what google did with their system. This didn't start happening till Friday 3/8/24. I keep getting multiple notifications that my camera is offline. It's really starting to get annoying..

Looks like it stopped. Seems like Google fixed the issue....

ooooo ok!  thanks!  I'm going to turn my notifications back on and see.
