Door Bell (wired) visitor announcements/chime set up on google nest mini wont work

Hello,

Have migrated by nest account to google. Now trying to link my nest hello doorbell to a google mini speaker to act as the chime but in the process it takes be back to the nest sign in and will not accept my original nest login details nor my google account log in details.  Driving me nuts as need a chime in the house so we know when visitors are here.  Have tried to follow the linking instructions but it still does not chime on the google mini. Help!!
