Door notifying

I just transitioned from the Nest app to the Google app, and I no longer get notifications when someone is at my front door.  Please abvise

If by "transitioned from the Nest app to the Google Home app", you mean you've installed a 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell, then you have to configure the recording of events and notifications for those events under Settings | Events | Seen events for your doorbell in the Google Home app. You can also configure activity zones there. As in the Google Nest app, you have to separately turn on "Push notifications" for when the doorbell is pressed.
