DoorBell Error NC014(0.64)

I just got the offline notification of my doorbell this morning from Nest App. Now when I try to add it to the Nest app, I get error NC016, then NC014 that it cannot connect to assisting device (thermostat). I have restarted the router and modem, restarted my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, disconnect the wired doorbell and plugged it in less than 1 foot away from the thermostat, reset the doorbell, tried adding it to Nest or Google Home APP (goes to Home Screen after it scans doorbell QR code).  Suggestions?

Hello Junhong,

 

I'm sorry to hear if you're having trouble connecting your Nest doorbell. During setup, your Nest camera or doorbell will try to get Wi-Fi information from the other Nest products in your home. Your camera or doorbell will know there’s another Nest product in your home because it will find the product in the Home app or Nest app. 
 

Give these steps a try:

  • Make sure your phone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned on, and that your Nest Thermostat, Nest doorbell and phone are on the same Wifi network.
  • Try moving all of them and closer together during the setup.
  • If the issue persists, you may remove the Nest Thermostat from the App then add the Nest Doorbell then the Nest Thermostat back. This way the Nest doorbell would not find other Nest products in your home.
