The 2nd gen doorbell is most of the time not connected I had the nest doorbell and I never had any connection problems but the battery went dead in that doorbell so I upgraded to the 2nd gen. It will notified me everytime but can't connect for video. This doorbell is useless right now.

Hello Lorek,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. I'm sorry about what's happening in your Nest Doorbell. Let's go ahead and see what we can do here. To confirm, when you say you can't connect for video, are you referring to viewing the live feed or you can't play the recorded videos? What is the light status of your Nest Doorbell? Were there any recent changes in your WiFi router settings? Hit this link for more information.
Looking forward to your response.
Best,
Emerson

Hey Lorek,
I’m sorry you’re still having trouble with this. Let’s sort this out — a few questions: what’s the status light of the doorbell? How far is the doorbell from the router? Is it connected to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network? Also, are there other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi where the doorbell is connected to?
I appreciate the help, Emerson and Brad.
Thanks,
JT

Not sure about the status light. It's about 20 to 30 ft away from my wifi pod and yes I have 2 other nest cameras connected to it. and it's on 5 GHz.

That may be why you're experiencing some connectivity concerns, as 20-30 ft is farther than you would think for a connection to stay stable and strong. Are you able to move your Wi-Fi closer?
Best regards,
Brad

Then it should effect all of my best camera. But it does not. I never had this problem with the original nest doorbell. This started with the new doorbell. I thinking the wifi antenna is not as good.

No I had not. Been very busy the last 3 months. I'll try to get it done when I'm off of work. Thanks for reminding me to do it. I actually forgot about it.
