Doorbell Battery drains battery in less than 4 days

Kareor

My doorbell is today at 44% battery life and only has 1 day left to work. Each week this has been going worse and worse. Only had the thing for a couple of months, maybe three. I think I need a replacement, this is absurd

Hey Kareor,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. A few questions: do you have a wired or a wireless setup? Are you able to view the camera feed? Did you receive any notification from the Google Home app? Also, has there been any recent power outage in the area?

The battery drains faster in cold weather or if there's a lot of activity (even if the activity isn't saved as a clip).

Try the steps below and let us know how it goes.

  • Please charge your camera again. If possible, keep it connected to the charger until its battery is full.
  • If it's possible to adjust the angle of your camera to a more productive area that catches fewer unimportant activities.

Let me know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Thanks,

Archie

Hi Archie, my Doorbell is wirelless, with battery. At the beggining, battery lasted 6-7 days with a normal use and movement, with the "More Battery" features active. Over this four months, battery has lower the time to 2 days, this was a progressive thing. I talked to Customer support and they recommended a factory reset... didn´t work. I need a replacement.
