Doorbell battery needs to be charged

MrsHallock

I had my doorbell professionally installed with safe streets and they charged it and then hardwired it. Today I get a notification that the battery needs to be charged and I don’t know how to do it and there’s no direction manual. I can’t figure out how to do it and I kinda need help. Something wrong or if because it is just hardwired I don’t need to charge it.

If your battery doorbell is wired to your doorbell chime and transformer, and if your transformer meets Google Nest's requirements, then you should NOT have to charge the battery unless you are experiencing weather cold enough that the battery cannot remain charged:

You can find the transformer requirements here:

Perhaps you need to contact the people that installed your doorbell to verify that it was installed correctly and that your transformer meets requirements.
