I have a Nest Doorbell (Battery) which is able to connect 3/4 Meters away from a TP-Link TL-WPA7617. All are up to date with Firmware. The Doorbell also has a choice of another TL-WPA7617 upstairs 5/6 Meters away.
It seems to lose connection and go offline even though the WiFi signal is strong. I've checked if it's sitting correctly in its holder also.
The TL-WPA7617 and My TP-LINK Router are meshed.
Not sure what is going and would love some assistance.

Hi HudUK,
Thanks for sharing the information with us! Let’s see what’s going on — a few questions: what’s the status light of your doorbell? How far is the doorbe from the router? What Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)? Were there any changes to your Wi-Fi network? Also, are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the doorbell?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
JT

Hi JT,
As previously stated I have two TP-Link TL-WPA7617 which are 3 to 4 metres away from the Doorbell and the Doorbell only runs on 2.4ghz and not 5ghz.
The router itself is about 8 metres away through a load bearing wall but 2.4ghz is turned off to force the Doorbell to connect to one of the Powerline Adaptors. I've also since disabled 2.4ghz on the upstairs TP-Link TL-WPA7617 so the Doorbell only has one choice. This seems to have worked partially, but the Doorbell still goes Offline and also Notifications are terribly slow!
Thanks

@janthadeus I am having the same issues as @HudUK Long delays on receiving notifications when someone rings and frequent “camera offline” messages (usually once or twice daily).

Do you have any Access Points or WiFi Boosters near your Doorbell? If you're getting a connectivity problem then it might be that your Doorbell is connecting to your Router rather than your WiFi Booster or Access Point.
How far is your Router from your Doorbell and does the signal have to go through walls?
It maybe that the signal is getting weak due to the distance and objects it has to go through.

Our home is small, therefore we have no boosters or access points. The WiFi router is located is a room adjacent to the exterior wall on which the doorbell is located. However, that said; the router (Netgear AC1750) is several years old. Perhaps it’s time for an upgrade?

Potentially upgrade may be required but if there Doorbell and Router are within 5 metres away from eachother then it "should" be OK.
I myself have a TP Link AX53 Router to which I've disabled 2.4ghz on it which has forced the Doorbell to connect to an Access Point only 2 metres from it.
This has solved my connectivity but I'm still getting dead slow notifications..

Hello everyone,
@HudUK and @AnnaF, we appreciate your update. To confirm, how many devices are connected to your Wi-Fi router? Do other devices experience slow internet speeds? You may try restarting the affected devices and your Wi-Fi router. In case you're still getting the same issue, try removing your Nest Doorbell from your app and reset it to the factory default then add it back to monitor its behavior. Be mindful that after the reset all of your recorded videos will be deleted. Looking forward to your response.
I appreciate your response, JT and HudUK.
Thanks,
Emerson

@EmersonB thanks for the reply but I get the same answers to essentially reboot or reset everything instead of actually diagnosing the problem which most likely will be the Doorbell itself.
I have done:
Nothing in terms of my setup at home would deem that it is my network.
I might add that I use the Home App which has been removed before, I've also reset my whole phone (for a different reason) and that too doesn't help.
I've also noticed with the latest Firmware that battery life has reduced too.
