Doorbell keeps wrongly identifying faces

My camera keeps wrongly identifying several different people as the same person. They are (to me) quite obviously not the same person. A small, long haired woman; a tall, short haired heavier man; a slender short man all identified as the same person by the algorithm. Their faces do not show up in the face library for this ‘familiar face’, so there’s no way for me to flag these wrong identities ánd - as they don’t show up as an unfamiliar face - no way to add them as a new familiar face. The app should have a simple button that lets me help the algorithm learn when it’s making mistakes. Or show *every* identified face in the library, so I can remove them. Also: if a face *does* show up in the library I can only remove it. Why can’t I tell the algorithm it’s a separate familiar face and have it split of off to a new entry?

Really expected better from a Google product TBH.

Apologies in advance for my rudeness: just acknowledging my problem doesn't solve it.

Is this something the product team is actively working on? I've had to disable the familiar faces notifications as they are consistently incorrect. I can understand a mistake now and then, but several times a day is really too often. Especially because I also lack the possibility to flag or adjust the algorithm when it recognizes someone incorrectly.

So do I still need help? Yes, because - as far as I can tell - nothing has been changed in the facial recognition nor have I received an answer to the questions in my initial post.

This is not a perfect technology, and it is considered a learning technology. I cannot do what you ask as it is working to figure things out. I would suggest you leave your feedback and other criticisms in the app.
