Doorbell that just wont cut it

Hello.

I have had this Nest doorbell camera for a couple years now. At some point in the middle of the night it went offline. No worries, so i did the typical steps to get it back online, But nothing worked. So i decided to factory reset it. Going through the steps to reconnect it to my network. But it wont. At all. I get the same generic "Try moving closer" etc.  I have alot of experience with setting these up. But was out of the blue and even after a factory reset, the device will not connect, I have a pixel 7 pro. I have restarted my phone and closed all other apps. My network is fine. But the doorbell wont get to the stage it needs to connect to a network.. And yes, its plugged in and charged, And its close to my router, and my network can easily handle it.

Hi crowdevil2001,

Thanks for posting in the community!

I'm so sorry that your Nest Doorbell is having difficulties connecting to your network. Don't worry; I'm here to help! Just to get started, I'd like to confirm some details with you. Can you please help me answer the next questions?

  • What's the exact model of your Nest Doorbell?
  • What was the color of the LED light on the doorbell before you attempted to pair it?
  • Have you tried setting up the doorbell using a different phone or tablet?
  • Can you please share the download and upload speeds you get near the Nest Doorbell?
  • Are you using a 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi band?
  • Are you receiving any specific error codes during the setup process?
  • How far is the device from the router?

In the meantime, if you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further!

Best regards,

Nery.
