Doorbell visitor announcement notification

It would be great if we could customise visitor announcements. I would much prefer there to be no "someone is at the front door" and just have the doorbell chime on my nest minis. Could this be added please?

how do you even get "someone's at front door"? i only get the normal android notification, not distinguishable from any other notification..

Settings > doorbell > visitor announcements.

This means you'll get notified via any nest speaker devices in your house

Hi, question is still open. Am I able to set the Google battery door bell visitor announcement via my Google nest mini speaker so it just plays a chime/sound and not the 'someone has rung your front door door bell'?

Please check out this article on How Visitor Announcements Work as it goes over some important information. The quick answer would be that you cannot change the tone, but depending on who is rings your doorbell for example, they would be recognized if you have Familiar Faces turned on, and Nest Aware enabled.

We realise it's not possible. We're asking for the feature to be added. It would be nice for us to be able to choose the doorbell chime and whether or not the notification is read out.

Me too. We've stopped using it as it's embarassing announcing "Someone's at the front door"...very naff!
