Can’t reconnect doorbell after installing new router
10-05-2022 02:31 PM
Unfortunately, Google Nest does not make it easy to update Wi-Fi settings, so they recommend that when you get a new router/modem, you set the network name (SSID) and password to the same values used on your old router/modem. That way, you don't have to update your Google Nest devices. That's what we did when we got a new router/modem.
If you don't do this, then you have to remove the device from the Google Home app and do a factory reset while you are still on the old Wi-Fi system.

Hey Fultonj12,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. A few questions: what error message are you getting when connecting your Nest Doobell (Battery) to your new Wi-Fi router? What's the status light of your doorbell? Also, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
Check out this link for additional help.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Thanks,
Archie
