Doorbell

Well since this sites mods close unresolved issues because they have no idea what they're doing, I'm going to open up another thread, and another after that, until my problem is resolved. Google nest doorbell doesn't record all events, even though I pay the monthly subscription. I've ran through all troubleshooting problems with no avail. I've reset the router, power cycled, uninstalled and reinstalled everything, relocated all of my access points to the point of putting one directly on the other side of the wall of the doorbell. Nothing solves the issue. Although it hasn't been much, the only help I have gotten is from other users in the community who have similar problems. That being said, I'm not the only one having these issues and you would think Google would do what they can to solve these issues instead of just closing the thread.  So here we go again! The failure to properly provide for paid services. Kind of sounds like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Maybe I should go that route instead. Since they're taking our money and not providing theservices that we pay for, maybe we can return the favor. Hit them in the money pouch, that usually gets action.

By "record all events", do you mean 24x7 recording or just that it's missing some kinds of events?  The Nest Doorbell (Battery) is not capable of 24x7 (unlike the Nest Hello, that is with Nest Aware).

No not 24/7. I know it doesn't do that. I mean the events. An event will happen. I'll get notified. I try to view the video clip. Nothing. Sometimes if I wait 24 hours to view the clip, it will be there. Most of the time it won't. Just a black screen saying no event recorded.

Ah ok.    I have seen that happen, but very rarely - maybe a couple of times since I've owned it.   Generally, I've not had any issue with that.  I presume no help from Google support (I mean calling them)?

Unfortunately not. I've tried them three times all times they pretty much tell me the same thing. Disconnect and reconnect everything. Move access points. They send me troubleshooting links. But nothing has helped fix the problem. Our other cameras and devices work fine. It's only the doorbell that gives us issues. I bought an outdoor Arlo for a backup outside camera and it doesn't have any of the problems. The notifications from the Arlo needed to be shut off though, because everything it saw would chime through our Google speakers, waking the kids up at night/early morning. Even with that issue I might have to go the route of an Arlo doorbell. See if that works better. I mean, at least the Arlo records all events and they are playable.
