Hello
2 issues:
1. When I or an invited Nest home family member enters or exits house with phone in pocket/bag, nest does not record or notify our entry or exit event. Is it because nest recognizes the owners phone and not record/notify or is it a glitch? This has happened multiple times when owners enter or exit.
2. Nest randomly does not record events from time to time. Tried all solutions posted here. Seems to be a known issue

I don't think Google Nest pays any attention to our phones' location unless we're using "Home/Away Assist", and even then it's not very precise. ("For example, if you walk over to your next door neighbor’s house, your home may not switch to away because you still may be within your home’s geofence." - https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9257400?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid#zippy=%2Chow-homeaway-assist-uses-phone-location)
My guess is that what you're seeing is just coincidence. Our doorbells and cameras (old and new) occasionally fail to record an event, and this has been true for years. In particular, if we walk past our front doorbell walking AWAY from the doorbell, it is more likely to miss that PEOPLE event than if we're walking TOWARDS the doorbell.
This is all just my personal observation.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. No worries! we'll help you sort this out. Nest Cameras determine when something moves based on how much an image changes over a short period of time. So, your Nest Camera may not send an alert if the following is true:
You might have to move your Nest Camera, change your camera’s angle or change something in the scene so that you don’t miss important activity. To learn more, you may check our public article about "Troubleshoot Nest camera alerts".
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
