Existing Nest Cameras able to be used with other security systems?

I have several Nest Cameras and I was looking to buy a DIY security system.  Does anyone know if any of the major brands will allow you to use Nest Cameras / Nest Thermostat / Nest Smoke Detector with their system?

I didn't want to start over with my home system and just wanted to add a basic security system to what I have.

Closed system.  Google doesn’t even want to give nest users the ability to see google nest cameras within the app? Follow the logic of google?  google Nest cameras do not work with the nest app.  So asking for multi manufacturers cameras to work is a resounding nope. But google does want you to have birthday wishes and tiktok.  That just got rolled out

Hi there,

I know that we have worked with Brink before, but that is about it to the extent of my knowledge. These devices are meant to work well with each other, but not entirely meant to work with other devices; though they can work well with other connected devices.

Best Regards,

Brad.

Steve,

Any update on the partnership with ADT?  Looks like just the battery powered Door bell. Was hoping the rest of the cameras, smoke detectors and the thermostat would be included.

Hi folks,

Thanks for choosing the Nest Camera, @mcoll8. We don’t have any news to share about the new Nest camera devices integration with ADT. But, we’re always looking for ways to improve and we’ll take this as feedback. Keep an eye out on our social media channels for more updates.

Let me know if I can assist you with anything else, otherwise I will be locking this thread in 24 hours.

Regards,

Steve
