There’s no way to add a new face until the camera actually detects an unfamiliar face. So for whatever reason, the camera is recognizing you as a person but seems to not be capturing your face.
In the camera feed, there should be a “People” tab where you can manage any faces the camera may have captured. In the settings under “Familiar Faces” you can further manage faces by deleting any as needed.
