"I renewed my subscription for my cameras and since then, they haven't been recording any movement outside my home. Whenever I try to view the video, it's just a still image. Has anyone else experienced this issue?"

Is your Nest Aware subscription somehow attached to the wrong Google Account? Or the wrong Google Nest "home/structure"?
If you go to this Subscription Management page, does it show your subscription, and if you click on the Subscription, does it show the correct Google Nest "home/structure"?

If you go to Settings | Nest Aware in the Google Nest app, does it show your subscription?
If you can't resolve it, you could try the "Contact Us" link under "Nest Aware Premier Care" on the page below to "Get 24/7 access to Nest Aware Experts on the Nest Customer Care team. They’re available to answer questions, help you access features, and manage your subscription."

@EB86, I appreciate your update. Just wanted to make sure, how many home structures do you have? Please access the links shared above to verify if your Nest Aware is applied to the right home structure. Also, make sure you use the right account when renewing it.
