First Gen camera offline no matter what

My first Gen wired camera suddenly refuses to be online and work - nothing changed on my end, it just stopped sharing video and claims offline no matter what. I’ve tried all the official troubleshooting -anyone have any other ideas? I have two others bought at the same time and that are in the same indoor conditions ans

are working fine.

Sounds like it is time for some trouble shooting. I expect that either the power adapter is malfunctioning or the camera it self has gone back. Can you test the off-line camera with one of the power supplies from the working camera to see if it comes on line? If that doesn't fix it then mostly likely the camera has gone bad. Also, do any of the LEDs on the camera come on when it is first plugged in?

Thank you! Yes, I tried a new cord and the problem was unaffected. The blue light comes on but it never connects 😞

The only other thing I can think of is to have you speak with an actual Google Tech on the phone. Here is the link to open a support ticket and be able to call them on the phone. Maybe the can walk you thru some trouble shooting just to confirm it is no longer functioning.

Thank you - nothing seems to work and I’m terribly surprised and disappointed such an expensive product regularly just fails in less than two years. Rethinking my reliance on Nest.

I have (5) of the gen 1 cams and one of them failed at about the 2 year mark.  But the others are still going strong 4 years in.   You may want to just consider the past of least resistance and buy a used camera from Ebay (or wherever).  I did that and the (2) cams I bought are still going strong.
