Flood lights don't turn on during and event

Setup went fine but flood lights don't turn on during a person or vehicle event in the event zone. This is the second camera I've tried.

Lots of issues seem to be cropping up with Google's Nest Cam with Floodlight. Mine is hardwired to my house, but in the Google Home app the device shows offline 100% of the time. I have my floodlights set to stay on for 5:00 after detecting motion, but they stay on for maybe 0:15, then turn off again. Also, the camera, which is hardwired to the floodlight base, does not charge, so the batteries keep the camera working until they run out. So far Google has been silent on all issues related to the Nest Cam with Floodlights.

All support can do is tell me to reset and re-install when they obviously have a software/firmware issue. Not to mention the insanity of Nest app vs Google Home app. Half my cameras don't show on nest app as they are battery versions. Google, get your act together, upgrade the interface for Google Home and do away with the Nest app or expand the Nest app. This bi-polar system you have is insane. AND fix your camera's software and stop making me get up on a ladder when it is clearly not the issue.

They sent a replacement camera and I have the same results. Now they escalate when I reach back for support and after a few minutes, they disconnect. Twice. Not the way to trouble shoot a problem.
