Floodlight settings

I recently installed the Nest cam with floodlight, hardwired. I was able to connect to app first time, saw the Floodlight tile and camera tile and could change the floodlight settings. I started getting the same error about the camera being out of battery as everyone else (really wish I checked these forums before purchasing!). I followed the troubleshooting steps, removed nest cam from Home app, reset it, added it back and magic the camera tile is back, showing it’s plugged in. Floodlights work, camera works, but after adding nest cam back, no more floodlight tile. I assume it should add at same time as camera if I select Nest cam with floodlight during adding the device. How can I get the floodlight tile back on so I can change the floodlight settings. Not the camera setting, the floodlight settings. I’ve already reset, removed the device from home app and added it back in about 5 times. My wifi is working and I have a live camera view, nothing wrong with my router.

Thank you for your help, this has been an extremely  frustrating experience so far.

I didn’t restart everything because I’ve done that too many times to count, but the other day the floodlight tile appeared in my google home. I don’t know why, but I’ll take it! This is still an issue that is impacting a lot of people though, things should just work, you know? Especially when more expensive than most.

I'm having the same/similar issue! I have several Nest cameras including  3 floodlight cameras. Two work perfectly, one was working great but now it says the floodlight is offline! The floodlight still works (lights up if you walk into its sensor area).  With the floodlight control offline I can't control the floodlight and it's constantly coming on and off whenever something comes remotely in range (highly annoying).

Hey there,

Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally. Follow it with a factory reset, if the restart doesn't do the trick. I would definitely recommend checking out the factory reset process, before you try it out yourself.

Thanks Brad but I've done all of that and more! I was on the ladder up n down several times to access this floodlight camera and got no resolution. I was on the phone the with Donald and two other techs that I got handed off from for who knows how long! It was supposedly getting sent up to a hardware specialist and I was supposed to hear back but needless to say I have not heard anything yet. I still have no control over the floodlight, no floodlight app (within Google home) for that camera and no options for it... it does come on whenever the sensor is tripped which is constantly and kind of annoying with no control of it. I have 5 NEST cameras including TWO other floodlights. The setup and power is fine, the router signal is fine, etc etc.
