Floodlight stays on

I have the floodlight set on the darkest setting, the low motion senstivity and 30 seconds, but the floodlight seem to stay on all day and all night.

Also the google home app indicates that it is at 61%, but it is hardwired.

How do I fix this?

Hi jwalker63236,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the Cam with floodlight (wired) that is staying on all day and all night. But don't; help is here.

In this case, you can try to restart the camera and see if that solves the situation. Here is how:

  1. Plug the camera into a power source.
  2. Locate the reset button on the back of the camera.
Tip: The reset button on the Nest Cam (battery) is located on the back of the camera head.
  3. Press and hold for 5 seconds.
  4. Your camera will restart, and the status light will be steady and solid white.

If that does not solve the situation, you can try with a factory reset; just keep in mind that your camera's personalized settings will revert to default settings and the entire video history and snapshots will be deleted. Once your video history and snapshots are deleted, they're gone forever. They cannot be recovered.

You can check detailed information on the "Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell" article.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenny
