Garage camera keeps going off line

I keep getting a message that my garage camera is offline. How do i fix this??

I have a similar problem with one of my cameras which is somewhat far from the Wifi router. If I am not mistaken, iyou want to increase your wifi signal to reach your garage camera, you should look at a few solutions such as a signal repeater, a meshed router or even possibly an ethernet wire driven to your garage.

To insure a good Wi-Fi signal to our farthest camera, we added an inexpensive high-gain directional Wi-Fi antenna to our Linksys wired access point about 25 feet from the camera; it's now online all the time.  The Wi-Fi signal strength is key.

@Ka71 thanks for posting here in the community. Let's go ahead and see what we can do here. To confirm, how far is your Nest Camera from your WiFi router? Do you have other Nest devices in the house? What is the light status of your Nest Camera?

 

Give these steps a try:

  • Try restarting your mobile phone, WiFi router and Nest Camera.
  • If you're still getting the same issue after a restart, try resetting it to the factory default. Then, remove and re-add it to your app. 
  • Don't forget that your recorded history will get deleted after the reset.
