Google Doorbell sound at doorbell very low when communicating thru App

When opening a channel with a phone the voice volume output at the doorbell is very low and unusable.

If you talk thy the Hub everything is working good.

Seems this problem is already known since 2017!
There is a issue with the Home app and microphone filtering resulting in inaudible sound at the doorbell.

Seems it only works with Google Pixel phone's, almost all Samsung phones have this issue and other brands as well.

Contacted Google support, finally they wanted to replace my 3 (brand new) doorbells and if that would not fix it the problem is with my phone.
Replacing them will not fix anything.

Send them all my research about this issue and the reply back was.

We do not have any solution for this at the moment, hopefully there will be a app update soon... please wait patiently.

2017 -> 2022 that's already 5 years, how long would we need to wait for Google to fix this??

It doesn't help you at all, but I can only confirm the problem. The Nest Hub is doing well. All Samsung phones in the house are almost impossible to hear. An iPhone with Google Home is better to hear. It doesn't make me happy either!

sharing my feedback to save ANYONE the frustration we've all had with these @Google products.

re: cameras (doorbells, nest cams, etc)

1. the 2way voice does not work if you have a samsung device.  @Google has known about this for over a year but hasn't fixed it.  Isn't it great that when someone rings your doorbell, you cannot even talk to them?  Great product.

2.live video streaming is not available from any of the cameras to chromecast. It is advertised all over, including the on the box and during the @Google home app setup - but it isn't an option.

So, you can't talk over them, or see the feeds - what is the point.

I've called google support, the google store, and ALL of the reps are worthless.  They have done nothing to help or make this right.

If you are considering a home security camera, or doorbell, I would STRONGLY recommend you look elsewhere.  @Google service is trash, just like their devices.

Feel free to reply if you have any questions or if I can provide more details.  I hope no one has to go through this and be out nearly $500 for products that are useless.

Google support went completely silent, not getting any response back from them...

Having the same issue. Turns out it's a known fault that Google are turning a blind eye on. I'm considering legal action to get the screw holes that have now been left in my door repaired by Google after they sold me a product they knew had compatibility issues with one of the world's most popular mobile phone brands.

I called the Best Buy yesterday I am fed up with issues to this nest, but they will not take it back because it passes the 15 days. This is a big headache because this Nest doorbell cost me almost $200. I called the costumer service to the nest and google, and they said wait for 1 hour. Imagine 1 hour, but I did wait and nobody calls back.
