We are long time Nest camera users. We have purchased another property and had to buy the Google camera, thermostat, and doorbell because Nest is no longer available for purchase. As mentioned on this forum the Google Home product is lackluster and incredibly frustrating to use. The Nest app had many more features and better user navigation. Will the Google Home app migrate these features from Nest over to Google Home? How much longer will we have to wait? The feature that I am most interested in at the moment is the ability to zoom in the video and keep it there for the recordings without it resetting.

"Zoom & Enhance" is one of numerous Nest app features that are still NOT migrated to the Google Home app. In fact, Google Nest points to a list of those features:

We use "Zoom & Enhance" for two of our Nest Hello Doorbells because the doorways are recessed.
I keep hoping that these features do get migrated over, but as time keeps passing, I'm beginning to wonder.

Many folks share in your frustration as you can see from reading the forum entires for the last 2+ years. In my case after I bought a new (gen 2) camera and saw the limitation of the Google Home app I ended up buying used Gen 1 cams from eBay sellers just so I could stay using the NEST app. It has been over 2 years now and the used cams are still working and I'm very happy staying in the NEST APP. Google has made some progress in improving the Google Home app to be more like the Nest app but there is still a ways to go.
