Google Nest Battery Camera drains quickly when it loses wifi

Hello

I'd like to know if Google is aware of this problem and trying to provide a fix. 

My wifi sometimes goes down for short periods. When it does, my Nest Battery Cam drains extremely quickly. Like from 2-3 weeks to zero in only a few hours. 

This seems to be a serious issue. Please advise.
