My camera is 16 months old. Recently started dying despite being plugged in overnight with camera turned off. Shows plugged in, drops to 0 % in under an hour after being turned on with no events being activated.
Questions.
Is there any warranty after this time?
Does anyone replace the battery?
I've ordered a new one today (Amazon sale). Is there a procedure to replace an existing camera (with a subscription).
If it is possible to fix the old one I'll use it for the back yard.

Your post says you have a "Nest Doorbell (wired Gen 2)", but I'm guessing you actually have the battery camera. We've had a battery camera for over 2 years, plugged in at all times with the optional power cable, and it's been "Live", on, and online the whole time, through two Minnesota winters. It's always showed as "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol. On the times when we've unplugged it to check the battery, it's always been between 77% and 100%.
If your plugged-in camera is working correctly, it should be running off of household current, and NOT off of the battery.
I'm a bit confused when you say our camera is "plugged in overnight with camera turned off". Are you plugging it in just at night?
Are you using one of the optional power cables, rather than the 1-meter charging cord that comes with the camera? Is it plugged in with the power cable feeding towards the FRONT of the camera? Is there any corrosion on the bottom of your camera where the power cable plugs in, or on any of the pins on the plug? Was it plugged in when you first installed it? (Something happens during the install process so that the camera recognizes that it is plugged in; some customers have had to reinstall because of this.)
The warranty is good for 1 year only.
The battery does not seem to be replaceable.
There is no procedure for replacing a camera other than to first remove the old camera from the Google Home app. Your Nest Aware subscription covers all cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure".

The camera is always plugged in with the optional cable and 5 volt brick, I turned the camera off to maximise the charging ability, that took it from 0% to 15% over night. When I turned the camera on, it dropped to 0% within a hour without any events being recorded. It showed plugged in.
I took the 5 volt brick that is used for charging, it charged to 100% within 7 hours, problem solved!

I don't know what you did ("I took the 5 volt brick that is used for charging") to solve your problem.
If your battery camera is plugged in with the optional 5-meter or 10-meter power cable and the accompanying adapter, and if your camera was plugged in at the time of your install (so that the camera "knows" it is plugged in), then your camera should always show as "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol, and the camera should be running on household current.
Our camera is running off of household current and has been on and "Live" since Sept. 2021. On a few occasions, we've unplugged it to check the battery level, and it's always been between 77% and 100%, so clearly the camera is keeping the battery charged, but I have no idea how many cycles it's used to do so, or how long it will take for the battery to be degraded. Since it's running on household current, I'd like to see the camera last for many years, like our older Google Nest Outdoor Cameras.
