Google Nest Cam and Floodlight wired

I had to change a WiFi network name. I was able to add all my devices to this new network EXCEPT for the Google Nest Cam and Floodlight wired. Per the directions I could find online, I uninstalled it from my Google home app. I then went on to the Home app on my phone and pleased the + to readd it. I choose Nest Cam and Floodlight as an option and scanned my QR code from the box then chose already installed. It's unable to find my camera and tells me to make sure it's plugged in (it is) and on the same network as my phone. (It's probably not, but I don't know how to fix it.) Also, it this point it tells me I have a Nest cam with battery, which I don't.

Is there a trick to reset the camera? I' got up on a ladder and I've pressed and held the button on the back of the camera, but maybe I'm doing it wrong? Help! How can I get my floodlight connected to my new wifi network name!!

Hello SolaceSP,

I’m sorry for the trouble this has caused you. Let me help you out. For you to reconnect any 2nd Gen Nest Camera or Doorbell, you need to do a factory reset on it. Check out this link on how to restart or factory reset a Nest camera or doorbell.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks,

Edmond
