Google Nest Camera with Floodlight Floodlight Works Intermittently

I bought in Spring 2022 a Google Nest Camera with Floodlight. After the latest app update I noticed in the Home app I can’t access the floodlight power within the tile. When I tap the tile the floodlight shows offline. I can’t turn it on or off or change the brightness. Also when I check the camera, the camera is always in night vision mode. The floodlight does comes on when it’s trigged but it doesn’t stay on for long. When I check the camera to check the event history, the video shows the camera not being on. I have disconnected and reconnected the power for the camera, and it still doesn’t work correctly. The WiFi connection is good and isn’t far from my home’s router. I can’t figure it out.

Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

The main issue is not only with the Google Home app, but the camera itself. Sometimes the floodlights want to work and sometimes they don't with or without the app. It fails to detect things or light up. I have restarted the device before and usually, it is the same thing. My WiFi coverage to the floodlight camera is very strong, and I have ran speed tests to verify the connectivity and ping rate.

Thank you for sharing your additional troubleshooting steps you have taken. I am wondering if you have checked to make sure that your app is update to date? I know we have had some updates come through lately.
