Google Nest Doorbell Battery won't Mount onto the Plate.
I've had my Doorbell for a couple of months and used it in battery mode with no issues remounting it.
Following charging the device, I was unable to mount it onto the back plate. the device would not click back into place.
On close inspection, I noticed the top small mounting pin which you released with the unlocking pin had not been released and reset following the unmount from the plate and was still within and flush with the device.
My Fix to release the button: I used a sharp blade (penknife) to position my blade under the depressed button. i held the blade horizontally to flick the blade outwards to pull the button out. very little pressure was applied and the button came out. this allowed for the device to be remounted.
Hope this helps a few people out
