I want to use the google nest doorbell with my existing chime.
Issue: It only works with 230V … the Google doorbell works only with 8-24V.
Should I get a new chime which operates with 8-24V?
Additional question: Will the battery of the Google doorbell get charged when the device is wired to the chime? How does it work? Because on a regluar bell button, the voltage/current is present when the button is pressed.
The bottom half of @aatienza 's diagram applies ONLY to the Google Nest Hello Doorbell, which requires a Chime Connector, and does NOT apply to the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery), even if it is wired.
