Google Nest Wired doorbell NC023 error

Hi,

My Nest Wired Doorbell camera has worked fine for a number of months after I installed it earlier this year Feb 2022. I also have 2 other Nest cameras on my Google Home and these continue to work great but my Google Nest Wired Doorbell camera does not work. The green light appears but that is it.

I see many unanswered NC023 errors for the Nest Wired Doorbell camera with NC023 error. No suggestion posted in 2022 works, regarding NC023.

I finally resorted to disconnecting my Nest Wired doorbell Camera from my wifi and removing my Camera from my nest account and attempting to do a factory reset. However, my google nest will not respond in the manner the google instructions say. I can no longer reestablish a wifi nor bluetooth connection with my Google Nest....but my other 2 Google Cameras on my Google Home app work great. I am a paying member for Google Aware.

Is there a more serious factory reset or do I just return the Google Nest Wired doorbell camera?

Hello,  Some people have  reported that the best way to get around this problem is to use another family members phone to try and add the camera back to your system that way.  

If that fails I think your best be is to speak with an actual Google Nest tech person on the phone.  Google does not monitor this user forum.   You can open a support ticket with this link and be able to escalate to a phone call.  I would suggest you set aside an hour or so as this kind of trouble shooting can be a bit involved.

It sounds like your Google Nest Hello Doorbell has gone bad. (We have 3 Nest Hellos.) You can try contacting Google Nest Support starting with this link to initiate a replacement if they can't resolve it, since you've had it less than a year:
