I have an indoor Nest cam that’s probably about 4 years old. It used to work well, but over time it was moved (a lot) and possibly manhandled with by young kids.
I want to use it again and I have been able to get through the steps to successfully set it up on the Nest App. The camera shows up on my mesh system as a device constantly connected to the wifi with good wifi signal. However, the camera itself will have the blue light on for a while, then slowly fade out, then come back on in about a 15-20 second cycle. When I open the app, it’ll try to load the camera and then say it’s not connected to wifi, and then try to connect again in the same cycle.
I’m thinking it may be a power supply issue, but am confused because it consistently shows up as connected through the wifi mesh system. I’m not sure if it’s worth trying to replace the cable to see if that would fix the problem or if others have had something similar happen and know what might be going on.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. The pulsing blue light means the the Nest Cam is ready for setup. Since it still shows as offline in the Nest app, I would recommend to remove it first in the app and re-add.

Steve
