Google Nest doorbell is peeling off

It’s not even that old and it’s peeling off - looks horrible. Contacted customer service and they laughed at me, suggesting it’s time for a new one??!! Really - I spent $200 on this piece of crap and it looks like a cheap knock-off??!! Where’s the great customer service, Google?! I guess you have it only when you push for an upgrade??!!

@ckpuma

There are over 320 threads in this forum about "peeling" Google Nest Hello Doorbells, along with over 45 threads on "delaminating" Nest Hellos. Our 23-month-old Google Nest Hello Doorbell is one that's peeling. Google Nest's stance is that, unless we are within the 1-year warranty period, they "cannot" replace the doorbell or do anything else (such as a discount on a replacement doorbell). Their stance is the same on the failure of the internal battery in the Nest Hello after 1 or 2 years, which causes the doorbell to go offline when the doorbell is pressed. That's happened to 2 of our Nest Hellos, both less than 2 years old. (See this thread with 819 replies: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Nest-Hello-Doorbell-cuts-out-when-butto...

If you are within the 1-year warranty period--or want to try to see if they'll replace it anyhow--you can try contacting Google Nest Support here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en
