My doorbell worked great. Then I got a hub max and the camera wouldn’t work. So after being mentally and emotionally f’d by googles non-existent “higher tier” of support I found a thread that suggested I deleted everything and restart with the hub max first. Apparently it’s a problem with Nest network. So I did. Now hub max works but my doorbell will not add. It shows up as connected through my router, but the Google home app can’t find it and can’t add it to the home. I have created a new email, new home, and tried- didn’t work. I have tried adding a thermostat and then adding the doorbell-didn’t work. I have tried adding all devices and then the doorbell-didn’t work. I have restarted and factory rest the doorbell countless times- didn’t work. What else can I do? I got it as a gift and can’t return. And as I personally know, Google throws you through the ringer and pretends some “higher tier” of customer service will reach out to return LOL what a **bleep**ty company. But I have 3 nest fire alarms, a learning thermostat, doorbell camera, hub, and two hub Maxs. Wtf am I supposed to now without a working doorbell, the one item I actually want and need.

Hi MG4, I know many people are reporting similar frustrations with Google Nest Support. I'm not sure what is going on. The only thing I can think of is do you have another smartphone in the family that you can use to install the app and try adding the camera back using that phone instead? It seems other people on this forum have reported that works for them.

At this point, I would return the things that are still returnable and get my money back. Shame on Google. ... just my opinion.
