Google has proven to be totally inept...again!

Have a bunch of cameras on the NEST app....I buy a outdoor floodlight and it will not work on NEST app. Instead I have to use the Google Home app just for that camera. So now I am forced to use 2 apps because the recorded videos of all the other cameras only show in NEST and Google on show recordings for the floodlight. Pathetic. Deciding to return this floodlight and drop all NEST and Google products. You freaking own NEST! You care more about censoring people than making compatibility within your own products. Will I also have to pay for another service to record the floodlight as well as the NEST subscription?

@dijhili

You've discovered what we discovered when we bought a battery camera two years ago, and we've been using 2 apps ever since.  And the battery camera lacks numerous features because it works only in the Google Home app.

Google Nest does claim to be working towards moving all cameras and doorbells to the Google Home app, though progress is slow and the capabilities that will be carried forward still remain to be seen: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Nest-Cam-Indoor-1st-gen-expanded-support-rolling-out-in-....

You do NOT, however, have to pay for another service to record your floodlight's footage. The Nest Aware and Nest Aware Plus subscriptions cover ALL cameras and doorbells--old and new--in the same Google Nest "home/structure". Our battery camera was automatically included in our Nest Aware Plus subscription that covers our 1st gen cameras and doorbells.

Had my NEW Nest Cam for two years then the battery wouldn't hold a charge and would shut off. After following the recommended factory reset I couldn't reconnect the camera. Called support and they said sorry your camera is out of warranty. I have DROPCAM/NESTCAM cameras that are 10 years old and still work to this day!!!! Be careful paying the monthly/annual service, the new products seem to break.
