Dear people,
I have bougth a google nest camera outdoor, now i have a power cable outside where my cam is placed . Does anyone know if i can connect my cam with power with the standard cable? I will make sure its water proof.
The reason is, you can only record 24/7 with power?
Thank you

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. We've had a Google Nest Camera (Battery) for 14 months, plugged into an outdoor electrical outlet with the optional power cable (https://store.google.com/product/nest_cam_weatherproof_cable?hl=en-US). It is "Live" all the time, the battery stays charged, and with a Nest Aware Plus subscription, we have 24/7 video history for the last 10 days. And yes, the camera has to be plugged in to record 24/7.

If your asking about using the cable that came in the box for charging, you could but I wouldn't recommend it since neither the USB transformer nor the cable are designed for it. Id highly recommend buying the outdoor cable instead. I've got 6 plugged in that way with no issues, though I got the 10m and ran everything into my basement they are rated for outdoor plugs
