@Vikkiseay

Do you have the charging cord plugged in securely in the bottom of the camera, with the cord feeding towards the FRONT of the camera?  I've seen some posts from some customers who plugged in the cord backwards, or who had a broken or corroded USB plug.

Hi @Vikkiseay,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Camera won't charge. I'm happy to help!

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • When did the inconvenience start?
  • Did you receive any notification from the Google Home app?
  • What's the status LED light?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, let's check a few things:

  • Check the power source and cable: Ensure you're using the original power adapter and cable that came with the device.
  • Check for physical damage: Inspect the cable for any damage, such as cuts or fraying.
  • Clean the charging port: Use a soft, dry cloth or a compressed air can to gently clean the charging port on the camera.
  • Status light: To check what the LED lights look like, refer to Nest camera lights.

@MplsCustomer, thanks for your help, that's a great resource for everyone!

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Melany
