My Google nest camera is only picking up me and my daughter when we are at the door it doesn't pick up the mailman or the Amazon driver or anybody else why?

If you have "Person" events/notifications turned on, it shouldn't make any difference who the "person" is.

Hi folks,

Checking in — I just wanted to make sure if you’ve seen MplsCustomer’s response. Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks,

JT

I think I know what the issue is.  My google nest camera is installed on my front door, however there is a plexiglass storm door as well.  Do you think that has something to do with this issue?  That it will only detect a person if that screen door is opened?  The video sees moving traffic but it doesn't pick up amazon drivers delivering items to my house or the mail man.

Hey KelliMilko1969,

I’m sorry for the delay. Good question, try moving your camera to a different location where there's a clear view of the surroundings. This is also to isolate if the plexiglass is causing wireless interference. Make sure that vehicle detection is on in the Google Home app.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

JT
