Hi,
A couple of days ago someone rang our Nest Wired Hello Doorbell and then it dropped off our network. When I got home I saw a quick flashing green light at the top. I tried removing it from its socket (not disconnecting it from the wired power supply) and tried the hard reset (pressing in the small button with a paperclip and the doorbell button at the same time. However all that happened is the green light stopped for a few seconds and then started up again. The camera is a few years old so I don't know if it needs replacement. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Much appreciated! -Brian

Hello, I'm an end user as well. It sounds like the doorbell has failed and it might be time to replace it. I would recommend you stay with the NEST HELLO for now. You can buy then used on eBay. If you replace it with the newer GEN 2 doorbells then you need to know these newer ones do not work with the NEST APP. Google has designed them to work only with the GOOGLE HOME app which still lacks all the features of the NEST APP.
Also, here is a thread from 2021 that you can read thru and you will see someone had the exact same issue you are describing....

Hi EmptyNester. I'd like to thank you very much for your helpful response. Yes, it appears I'll have to splurge for a new Nest doorbell. I tried resetting it several times and there's no response.
Thanks again for your help!
