I need to charge my doorbell for the first time and I can’t find specific instructions on how to do it. I’ve removed the cover, but can’t figure it out from there i.e., what I remove and how to connect the USB charger. Thanks for your help.

Hi CLB35806,
Thanks for posting. Use the included USB cable to fully charge your doorbell for wire-free installation. Keep it plugged in during setup so that it can connect to the app and the Wi-Fi network. The status light will pulse white when your doorbell is charging, and will appear solid white when it's completely charged.
It takes approximately 5 hours to fully charge the battery using a compatible 7.5W AC adapter (sold separately). To help prolong the life of your doorbell's battery, it will only charge to 75% if the doorbell is wired to the doorbell system.
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Zoe

Thanks, Zoe. To be clear, do I Ieave the battery connected to the doorbell while charging? I wasn’t sure how to remove the battery.

Hi folks,
@CLB35806, Nest Doorbell (battery) is designed with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 6 Ah, 3.65V. The Google Home app will notify you once the doorbell needs to charge. You can remove your Nest Doorbell using the included release tool and bring it indoors to charge it using the USB-C charging cable.
Thanks for the help here, Zoe.
Cheers,
Renz
