Hard-wired Outdoor Nest Cam "offline" yet pings like a champ

My Google Nest hard-wired outdoor camera has been "offline" for two days now. If I am able to ping it from my laptop on the opposite end of the house, how could it be offline? Seems to me that this is a problem with the Google Home App, but until it is resolved, the camera is useless, since it is not recording anything. Legitimate suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.

  • Restart your mobile device; sometimes, restarting your smartphone can resolve app-related issues. Turn off your device, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

  • And the last step will be to try to delete and reinstall the app. This simple step can resolve temporary glitches or problems with the app.
