I replaced a Nest Hello Doorbell I have had for many years with another Nest Hello Doorbell. The new doorbell would not install onto my existing home definition of other Nest thermostats and cameras. The Internet is full of complaints of this same installation problem.
Ultimately I had to install the new doorbell into a new and empty home definition. I then deleted and reinstalled each device from their former home to their new home, however the Nest Outdoor IQ cameras would not reinstall. I had to install each Nest Outdoor IQ into a new and empty home definition.
I now have one home with the new doorbell and most of my devices; thermostats and cameras, however I also have three other home definitions with a single Nest Outdoor IQ definition; four homes total for what should be a single Home.
This is an urgent problem for me. Any suggestions that anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I'm an end user like you and I have been using these cams for number of years now. I dread trying to make any changes because of this kind of problem. How frustrating and yes I see lots of people have reported this kind of behavior in the last 2 plus years.
The only thing I can suggest is to go into the app and "remove" the device. Then do a reset to factory settings and then try and re-add it to the home you want it to in. Here are the official instructions form Google....
