My Hello Nest Doorbell is peeling and it's barely a couple years old. It started doing this within about 6 months. What's crazy is that it has NEVER gotten wet and is completely protected and shield from sunlight, rain and wind. It looks terrible. I'm shocked it's doing this and would really like a replacement. Googling I found others with the same issue! Clearly it's a quality control issue or product defect problem -- the device is intended to be outside. Even still, my unit is completely protected and looks terrible.

I should have added that I meant to report this sooner... so I've been stuck with this thing looking terrible for a while.
A couple news/blogger sites have picked this issue up.
For how much these units cost it's ridiculous... There might be grounds for legal action if Nest doesn't take care of these. This is a widespread issue from what I can tell.

Perhaps threads like this should be locked only after the customer has received the promised email and the issue has been resolved.

JT - You said the same thing a week ago. STILL NOTHING RECEIVED. I've received dozens of legitimate emails the past week and not a single one from support for this issue. I would like the world to know that RING has a much better policy for defects and HASSLE FREE comapred to this. AND, this is because of a manufacturing defect that Google/Nest has.
