How do I revert my Nest Ring Doorbell and other first gen devices to CVR?

Borderblossom

I bought two battery cams and hard wired, and had to use Google Home App.

I added my Nest Ring Doorbell and first gen outdoor cam to Google Home App. And I lost the continuous Video Recording!! I'm upset about that and would like to revert to Nest App. Please help! Is it possible?

Now, my Yale door lock is offline and I need another device to use with my app to lock and unlock. Wth??

I'm up to over $1500 with Nest doorbell, Nest Yale door lock, first gen cam, new battery in/outdoor cams, and weather proof cables.

And how the heck can I upgrade to Best Aware Plus? That's also an issue! Lol

Hey folks,

Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app or available on https://goo.gle/3A7x7ug web app. However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure.

If you have a Nest Aware subscription associated with your account and cameras, you shouldn't have lost anything unless you did a factory reset of your cams. Of course, there are some products that are exclusive to the Nest app, so you will need to use both apps to view or manage each device accordingly. New cams released in 2021 and the new products just released this year, are exclusive to the Google Home app.  Thank you for your continued patience, and support.

Best regards,

Brad

Thank you. What other device do I need for my Nest Yale Door Lock to work with the App? Previously she to lock and unlock from the App. Now it appears I need another device to make it work with the app  ?!?!

And still need help with the subscription upgrade. If I try to cancel I get a notification it will cancel at the end of my subscription. I worked like to upgrade to get continuous Video Recording. Will I receive a prorated credit for upgrading?

Thanks in advance! Appreciate all your input.

Hey Borderblossom,

About your Nest Yale x Lock, you can use a Nest Guard to work with the app. Check out this link to Learn about how Nest Guard works and what it detects.

Changing from Nest Aware base to Nest Aware Plus for both Google Store and Play Store managed subscriptions takes effect upon purchase. You will be charged a prorated amount based on the time remaining in your current billing cycle and then will be billed the full subscription cost during their next renewal.

Thanks,

Archie
