Correct. The new battery version is built for the Google Home ecosystem, not the nest app.

Yes all my older cameras after some initial delay open in google home which is fine. Question: what happens to my nest aware plus account balance?

Not sure on that. I presume there's some way to get the new cameras onto your old nest aware account, but as I don't have any of the older cameras, I'm not sure how that's done. I'm using New Aware with the new camera, but I set it up using the Home App from the start. Hopefully someone else that's made this transition will chime in. Sans that, I think you'll have to call google support and ask if you can migrate your Nest Aware subscription (and/or any remaining account balance) to the Home App.

Hey folks,
Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.
However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. I am more than happy to assist you further with this inquiry if you wish. Please let me know.
Best Regards,
Brad.
