Thanks, that way has worked and I agree it is a long way round to download a clip!

Go into the Google Home app and select the doorbell.  The while looking at the live feed at the bottom select HISTORY and then FULL HISTORY.  Next find the clip you want to save. View the clip and then select DETAILS.  Finally at the upper right corner you will see the little icon for download (Down arrow with a small line under it).

Yep,,,, lots of unnecessary steps.  Welcome to the crappy (in my opinion) Google Home app.  It is not usable compared to the rather well designed NEST app.  But with these new cameras we have no choice but to use the Google Home app.

There must be a better way! I had a ring doorbell and this was so easy to do. Are you sure this is the only way to download video?

OK, so then just confirming you got it to work?

Yes, this is the only way (I  have found) in the crappy GOOGLE HOME app.  Not only is it the only way but there is not way to trim up the start/end.  For this and many many other reasons I have returned the new cameras and just went back to the older NEST cams.  Such a disappointment.
